John Carpenter, a Los Angeles area native, co-founded the firm in 1995 with law school classmate Paul Zuckerman.  For more than a decade, Mr. Carpenter has practiced personal injury and civil rights litigation in southern California trying cases before civil juries throughout southern California.

Most recently, in October 2005, Mr. Carpenter secured a judgment against a Brentwood dentist who discriminated against an HIV-positive patient.

Mr. Carpenter formed the firm out of a strong dedication to civil justice and the belief that individuals are entitled to aggressive representation against powerful insurance companies and corporate interests.  He is committed to obtaining the full measure of justice for his clients and his representation has resulted in notable six- and seven-figure recoveries for his clients.

Mr. Carpenter received his bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA.  He graduated Southwestern University School of Law in 1991.  Mr. Carpenter, who was captain of the UCLA sailing team, remains an active outdoorsman.
